Last weekend or so we went out to the REI store in El Segundo. I love REI. When will we get one in the SCV?
Anyway! The World Fare Bustaurant was parked outside of the store this day, along with the Del’s Lemonade truck! Total WIN since I hadn’t been to either! I had been hearing great things about World Fare so I was really anxious to see what this bunny chow business was all about. However, I had also been hearing good things about their hamburger, as well as the truffle mac and cheese balls. Oh, and their red velvet too! So basically among the three of us, we ordered a bunch of stuff.
What makes World Fare different than other food trucks is that they have a place where you can enjoy your food on the second floor of the bus. Very nice standing deck with shade. Perfect.
I ended up getting a lemonade from the Del’s truck. Refreshing on a hot day.
First up was their famous bunny chow!
Followed by the rest of our order.
I thought the burger was really good. I totally enjoyed it!
These are the truffle mac and cheese balls. Also very good!
And the red velvet I had been hearing so much about.
I wanted to get this post out in time for the World Cup because I know a lot of people have been asking where you can get Bunny Chow (typically found in South Africa). So be sure to follow World Fare on Twitter for locations!
